Pewsey Vale Eden Valley Riesling
"I've mentioned before that when I lived in the Eden Valley we referred to this wine as 'Eden Valley San Pellegrino', such was its constant presence in the fridge for rehydration purposes. It's just a consistently cracking drink, with classic regional characters of Bickford's lime cordial, green apple, Christmas lily, crushed stone and white flowers. Crisp, dry, sleek in its travel and great drinking as always." Dave Brooks, Halliday 93 Points

Pewsey Vale has been in operation since 1847; while it has had many different proprietors in this time, the Hill-Smith have been the steadfast owners for the last 60 years. The primary focus has always been Riesling and Pewsey Vale has a great reputation for making exceptional, dry, age-worthy Rieslings that are a staple of many cellars and winelists across Australia. In 1977, Pewsey Vale Rieslings were some of the first wines to ever be bottled under the Stelvin closure system. Unfortunately, the public wasn't supportive of this at the time, but it is now used very successfully around the world, and Pewsey Vale are the trailbazers we have to thank.
