Amherst 'North South' Shiraz
The grapes for this wine are sourced from three vineyards in the Pyrenees region, specifically around Moonambel and Landsborough. The wine features flavours of dark fruits like blackberry and plum, complemented by hints of spice and cedar. It has silky tannins and has been crafted with careful oak use. With its bright acidity, structured tannins, and overall balance, this wine can be cellared for over 8 years. However, thanks to its ripe dark fruit it is also very enjoyable now.

Norman and Elizabeth Jones planted vines on their family farm in 1989 and established the Amherst brand. The farm is located 20 km southeast of Avoca in Victoria's Pyrenees wine region. The farm has been in the family for generations and is currently managed by Luke Jones, the son of Norman and Elizabeth. After obtaining a Diploma in Wine Science, Luke gained experience in the industry by working in hospitality, wholesale, and retail before returning home in 2008 to take over winemaking responsibilities and running the vineyard.
