Mark Walpole tends the cold, wind-swept vines at his vineyard in Beechworth, located in Victoria's Northeast, while Adrian Rodda makes the wine. Together, they form an unstoppable team with years of experience, fierce passion, and a strong work ethic. The vineyard sits 530m above sea level, with steady mineral-rich slopes planted with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Tempranillo, Sangiovese and more.

Tasting Note

Featuring notes of green melon, grapefruit, and struck match, with a rounded palate that showcases almond, fresh cream, and minerality. It is a cool-climate Chardonnay at its essence and will continue to develop beautifully with age, although it is already a stunning glass.

"There’s plenty of joy in this wine. It’s well-balanced, rich but elegant, fairly high in alcohol yet fine-boned, delivering nice detail in its full flavour suit. Almond nougat, green melon, white peach, peanut husk, sprinkle of salt. Creamy on the palate with a bitter grapefruity finish. Oak sits slightly atop the ripe fruit but give it a hot second or a couple of years and it’ll come together. I don’t mind a glass right now, however." - Kasia Sobiesiak, Wine Front
