Steve moved with his family from mainland Australia to Tasmania in 1990 to pursue his dream of producing high-quality Australian Sparkling in the Derwent Valley. He purchased his property, began planting his vineyard, and farming the land to biodynamic principles. Since the beginning, Stefano Lubiana has grown significantly, making world-class sparkling wines, still Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, acquiring a vineyard in Huon Valley, and opening a restaurant called Osteria.
