Joseph Colin Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru 'La Garenne'
La Garenne is a small plot high up in the hills of Blagny; the vine's ages range from 30-90 years. La Garenne is located quite centrally in the appellation of Puligny-Montrachet, which is regarded as one of the best appellations within the Cote de Beaune. This beautiful wine is steeped with energy and elegance, and bright flavours of peach, pear, lemon oil, and freshly baked pastries fill the glass.

Joseph Colin originally worked and trained at his family's Domaine Marc Colin, working alongside his brother Pierre-Yves (who also now has his own very successful label), but in 2016, he decided to create his own label; he took with him his share of the vineyards which amounted to 6 hectares across nineteen different appellations. His philosophy is relatively simple: great wines are made in the vineyard, which means all the hard work is done in the vineyard to produce the best grapes possible, and the winemaking is simple and hands-off. He uses very little sulphur and not too much new oak, about 15%, which means the pure flavour of the fruit can shine.
