Shiraz was co-fermented with 7% Viognier, which was picked two weeks earlier and frozen while they waited for the Shiraz to ripen. The Viognier brings freshness and lightness to the dark and brooding Shiraz fruit. This wine is vibrant and lifted with fresh plum, baked berries, and rosemary notes. The fruit for this wine comes from the Strathmore vineyard in Sutherlands Creek, which is part of the Moorabool sub-region.

eFabulous wine. This is both seriously lengthy and seriously seductive. Immediately, I'm smitten. Sweet oak, sweet fruit, a nutty savouriness, flings of spice, mouthwatering acidity and grooves of meaty, smoky, grainy tannin. This is a wine where cedarwood characters dive headlong into pools of silken, ripe fruit. Yes the influence of viognier is apparent but in the most positive of ways. The nose on this. The flesh. The fancy.' – Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front 95 Points
