A new variety to the vineyard, it was grafted in 2019, and this is now the second releaseprovingthat this variety will have great success in the limestone soils of Bannockburn. The fruit began fermentation with 100% whole bunches and carbonic maceration, as is traditional with the variety. It was then destemmed and pressed to barrels to finish fermentation and left undisturbed before bottling.
I love this wine, I think it's beautiful. I probably shouldn't talk in first person like that but forgive me. It's a savoury, spicy, bunchy red wine with polished red berried fruit, a keen juiciness, excellent control and velvety/grapey tannin.
