Pinot Noir Central Otago 2022

Sourced from across Central Otago, but mainly the Bendigo sub-region where the wines are fuller bodied than is typical for many classic Australian regions. Generously flavoured ripe red and black cherry, subtle cinnamon spice and silky tannins. The winemaking is careful and thoughtful. Fruit is destemmed as whole berries to preserve fruit purity before fermentation, and it is then aged in predominantly old French oak before bottling.

Cleanskins come about when producers end up with extra wine due to high yields, a sub-contractor agreement falling through, or when the producer has more wine than they think they can sell under their own label. It's sold directly to us at a fraction of the price with no label; we put our label on it and start selling it, passing on the discount to our customers.
