Background
Louis Roederer was first established in 1833 in the village of Reims and is run by the same family today. They own and manage all their vineyards themselves, meaning they don't purchase any fruit, which is unusual for a large Champagne house. This ensures they have complete control over the whole production. Maintaining exceptional fruit quality and sustainable and biodynamic practices. Louis Roederer is synonymous with prestige and luxury without being 'showy', they are handcrafted and boutique wines that speak to the rich history of Champagne and its unique terroir.
Tasting Note
Collection 244 is the 4th release of the new multi-vintage cuvée which replaces the Brut Premier. A beautifully refined and elegant release showcasing flavours of toasty brioche, refreshing minerality, lemon meringue, and red apple. Perfect for a special celebration or as an aperitif.
