Fruit-driven and refreshing, it has flavours of red apple skin, lime juice, and pear. The bubbles are balanced, and the finish is dry and moreish. After the juice's first fermentation, the wine is left on lees for 5 months, giving it a subtle, bready, yeasty note. The wine has a slight pink hue in the glass, which is very inviting.

Local favourite, Oakdene, is situated in Ocean Grove on the Bellarine Peninsula. The establishment was founded in 2001 by Bernard and Elizabeth Hooley. While Bernard concentrated on establishing the vineyard, Elizabeth worked on setting up the homestead. Presently, their vineyard features a winery, a popular cellar door, a cafe, and a restaurant. Their wines offer excellent value and cater to a broad audience.
