Bin 407 is a multi-regional blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from some of South Australia's best Cabernet sites. After the popularity of the Bin 707, 407 was launched in 1993 as a more 'budget-friendly' option while still being very high-end. The 2008 vintage was a hot one, but careful harvest decisions, canopy management, and vine age kept the fruit protected. Thus, great producers with older sites like Penfolds still managed to produce beautiful wines.
