CLYDE PARK BLOCK F PINOT NOIR
1988 Planting of MV6 Pinot Noir on the north facing slopes of the property. The final wine was made using carbonic infusion fermentation techniques to include 25% whole cluster on top then matured in 75% new French oak hogsheads for 10 months.
The nose is boisterous with juicy red raspberry, summery cherry lusciousness and heady charred French oak. The brightly focussed palate is pure and a wash with juicy red currant, dried inca berries, cherries, briary blackberries and herbaceous nuance. The ultra-fine structure offers seamless tannin, supported by a lively acid backbone that will see this wine age gracefully at least for a decade.
