"This blend is from the 2 blocks of Shiraz planted to PT23 clone. Fermented in small batches the final blend incorporates 20% whole bunch wild fermentation and was matured for 10 months in 20% new oak puncheons."
"The nose is abundant with white pepper, Chinese five spice and boysenberry. The ultra-fine palate broods with strawberries, red currant, white pepper and a hint of savoury green olive. The alluring sweet and sour nuances are delivered with delicate cool climate structure, extra fine tannin and hints of smoky oak supported by a long savoury finish. While this Shiraz is more than approachable at present it will reward medium term cellaring and pair well with grilled red meats, lamb koftas spring to mind." - Winemaker's Note
