Bannockburn 'De La Roche' Shiraz

"Ripe fruit aromas of cherries and fruit compote open up to a complex nose of spice, with lift from the whole bunch fermentation. Darker red berry fruits, olives, and integrated oak present on the pallet, firm dusty tannins suggest decanting otherwise ageing will be rewarded." - Winemakers note
"One of three close-planted blocks, in this case planted to Shiraz. Volcanic debris throughout this block is the inspiration for the very apt name (translated as 'of the rocks').
Wild yeast fermentation with partial whole bunches and carbonic maceration influence followed by maturation in French oak hogsheads for 15 months. Often the most savoury of our Shiraz blocks, this wine is released after some years settling in bottle."
