A delicate and elegant array of vibrant red fruits, floral notes, sweet spices, and earthy, green herbal undertones marry together nicely. The fruit is sourced from the Barwon Ridge vineyard in Barrabool, which was planted in 2000 on deep black loam and limestone soil. 25% of the fruit was left as whole bunches for fermentation bringing a nice herbal note and all the fruit was vinified in second use French oak.

eYou might expect this wine to be underpowered, given its 12% alcohol, but it's anything but. The flavours are painted in watercolours but they are insistent, they have good spread, and there's an array to them. Rose petals meet bright red cherries meet game, dry spice, autumnal leaves and a semblance of red liquorice. It's pretty, it's spicy, it's leafy and most of all, it's cohesive. There's a silken aspect to what is generally a pretty frisky palate, and gentle wafts of musk and mint. It's lovely. It's drinking well already but it will improve.' -Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front 93 Points
